Make a Recommendation for Data Design

Building a database that allows for the capture of qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary data sources is crucial to successful hypothesis analysis in academic research.

For this week’s homework, you must create a database in MySQL for academic research purposes. You are free to solve for another issue statement of interest using ideas that aren’t necessarily related to your dissertation research or another data gathering area. You’ll create a technical design specification with screenshots of your MySQL database, an entity-relationship diagram, and a detailed description of the problem you’re attempting to address. You can either expand on the database you created the previous weeks or start from scratch with a new research topic that interests you. If you build a new database on top of an existing one, you’ll have to make significant changes to tackle new analytic issues.

In your database design and document, make sure to include the following:

references to the literature to back up any claims or facts made in the study problem statement
Stakeholder analysis identifies who is interested in this study or will provide feedback on the database’s future use and/or insights.
Endpoint talk – comprises the database’s intended application as well as any insights that the design and data to be housed in the schema are expected to provide; includes literature references for any assertions or statements of fact made.
Technical design – includes screenshots and/or explanations of all tables, fields, and data descriptions (metadata (i.e., field data types), and example data).
There should be no orphaned tables (i.e., tables that do not correspond to at least one other table in the schema); each table should have a minimum of 2 fields and a maximum of 8 fields (if building off your already established assignment database).
Diagram of entity-relationships with cardinality (shows the nature of relationships between related tables).
5 to 10 pages (not counting the title page)

Include at least three scholarly sources in your bibliography.

The completed assignment should meet all of the assignment requirements, demonstrate concept comprehension, and demonstrate serious analysis of the course content.
